There’s something quite freeing in admitting you’re not the artist in the room.
I’m the ideas person. The concept creator. The one who gathers the materials, sets the tone, and sparks the vision. My hands might not always produce the final piece, but they lay the groundwork—and that matters. That’s my kind of art.
When I run my Luetti workshops, I’m not there to show people how to make something ‘perfect’. I’m there to invite them to explore, to play with textures, to stitch stories into fabric, to connect with the idea of making something new from what already exists. These sessions are collaborative, calming, and occasionally a little bit wonky—and that’s exactly the point.
Creativity has always been in my blood. I come from a family where working with fabrics was second nature. I know how a piece feels when it’s right. I’ve got an eye for colour, balance, texture—those little details that make a design sing. I might not always be the one holding the needle or gluing the button, but I’m there—quietly editing, guiding, noticing what lifts a piece and what weighs it down.
And yes, I’m my own fiercest critic. I’ll often stand back and think, “It’s not quite there yet.” But that’s all part of the learning, and I’m loving every step of it. Because as much as I guide others, this journey is teaching me too—about patience, about trust, and about how beautifully imperfect handmade things can be.
Luetti isn’t about high art or flawless technique. It’s about thoughtful creation, shared stories, and sustainability stitched into every leaf, loop, and layer. It’s about making art accessible, mindful, and meaningful.
